Voltage Divider Calculator
Calculate the output voltage of a basic two-resistor voltage divider and review the formula.
The result will appear here.
How to Use
- Enter Vin, R1, and R2.
- Click calculate.
- Review Vout and the formula.
Examples
- Vin 5V, R1 10kΩ, R2 10kΩ gives 2.5V
- Check divider output for a sensor input
Calculation and Conversion Notes
Voltage divider output is calculated as `Vout = Vin × R2 / (R1 + R2)`. R1 is the resistor on the input voltage side, and R2 is the resistor on the ground side.
