How to Use

- Choose how to handle the output canvas. Keep full image expands the canvas so the rotated image is not cropped, while Keep original canvas size preserves the original dimensions.
- In Keep full image mode, choose a transparent, white, black, or custom background for the added space.

How Rotation Modes Differ

Free rotation always renders from the original image to the current final angle, reducing cumulative resampling from repeated adjustments. In Keep full image mode, the output canvas size is calculated with trigonometry so the rotated corners are not cropped. Angles that are not multiples of 90 degrees require pixel interpolation and may slightly soften edges and fine details.

Can I rotate an image one degree at a time?
Yes. Free rotation lets you adjust the angle from -180 to 180 degrees in one-degree steps.
Will free rotation crop the image corners?
Choose Keep full image to expand the output canvas so the full rotated image remains visible. Keep original canvas size may crop the corners.
Can the added space be transparent?
Transparent space is available for PNG and WebP output. JPG does not support transparency, so it uses the selected background color.
Does quality keep degrading if I adjust the rotation repeatedly?
The tool always renders from the original image to the current final angle instead of rotating the previous result again, which reduces cumulative quality loss.
Why can the output image become larger than the original?
For angles that are not multiples of 90 degrees, the output canvas must grow to fit the rotated corners without cropping.
Can I apply horizontal and vertical flip together?
Yes. Both flip options can be combined with each other and with the rotation angle.
